Six grass pitches at Cockermouth School
In 2006 we completed 3 adult and 3 mini soccer grass pitches on land to the east of Cockermouth School, made available by the Leconfield Estate with support from Lady Egremont. Since then the pitches have been in full use by the school, the primary feeder schools in Cockermouth, Cockermouth Junior and Senior Football Clubs, other community clubs and Allerdale School's Football League, as well as for county schools' fixtures.
We can perform all stages of sports field construction, including the ground work and drainage, soil replacement, levelling and seeding and turfing.

All of our vehicles are fully maintained and kept in excellent working condition by professional engineers at our own premises. We run a policy of one man one machine where possible.

John Elliot initially started as a farmer in 1968 and successfully grew the business to incorporate agricultural contracting services in 1975. The company is run by John and his son Mark, both directors, from Great Clifton Farm.
With a reputation of reliability and flexibility, John Elliot Ltd has managed to grow the business responsibly and build a large network of clients with long-term relationships. We work closely with local councils on various projects.
